Cape Light Compact Launches Commercial Energy Use Survey
Survey responders will help shape energy programs, and be entered to win a prize
Barnstable, MA – Cape Light Compact needs your help! In the coming weeks, approximately 500 businesses across Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard will receive a phone call from the Compact’s vendor, Opinion Dynamics, seeking information about how their business uses energy. Completion of this survey is critical to the Compact’s design of future energy efficiency programs and will allow the Compact to better serve customers and the region as a whole.
“It only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete the survey, and by participating you will contribute to shaping the energy efficiency programs that you could benefit from in the future,” said Maggie Downey, Compact Administrator.
The surveyor will ask businesses to provide information on the size of the facility, the type of equipment it has, and how they make decisions about what equipment to purchase or replace. The surveyor will also ask if the business would be willing to participate in an on-site survey of their facility. Approximately 150 customers will be selected for on-site visits.
Businesses who participate in the phone survey will be entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 grand prize and those who participate in the on-site visit will receive a $200 gift card for their time and effort. All responses to the survey will be kept strictly confidential.
The survey was designed with the help of Opinion Dynamics, a firm with national experience in developing successful energy efficiency programs. “We want to get people more involved in thinking about how they use energy,” Downey said. “Maximizing energy efficiency opportunities is the big prize we all win.”
