Helping Towns Save Energy and Money
Cape Light Compact works with member towns to implement energy efficiency measures in new and existing schools, town offices, police and fire stations, parking areas and other public facilities. By reducing electricity use the municipal energy efficiency projects generate substantial savings for towns. State of the art energy efficient technology also enhances the comfort and productivity of work spaces in these facilities. Learn more about municipal energy efficiency project case studies below.
Cape Light Compact also recently worked with member towns to convert more than 15,000 municipally owned street lights to light emitting diode (LED) fixtures. This recent LED streetlight installation will save our towns (and taxpayers) more than $800,000 each year, while meeting or exceeding current lighting levels. LED street lights use 70% less energy, and last longer than existing streetlights. Learn more about the LED street light conversion project below.
If you are looking to install energy efficient measures in any of your facilities, Cape Light Compact may be able to cover up to 100% of the cost of recommended cost-effective measures. For more information, call 1 (800) 797-6699.
