Energy Efficiency Opportunities

Barnstable, MA – Installing the right energy efficiency measures in your home or business can mean substantial savings. Every dollar invested in energy efficiency generates three to four times that amount of savings over the lifetime of the installed measure.

Cape Light Compact is preparing a new three-year plan to guide its 2016-2018 energy efficiency programs for Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard.  The Compact is seeking input from the region’s builders, remodelers and design professionals to ensure that more residents and businesses benefit from the free energy assessments, rebates and incentives that are available, as well as new programs under consideration.

“Every day, builders and remodelers are on the front lines with property owners making decisions about lighting, heating, cooling and weatherization,” said Maggie Downey, Compact Administrator.  “Who better to ask about ways to enhance our programs?” Downey said.

The Compact is co-hosting an informational forum with the Homebuilders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod:

What:  Save Money/Save Energy Presentation and Discussion

When: Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 4:30 pm

Where: Shepley Showcase, 75 Ben Franklin Way, Hyannis, MA  02601

Launched in 2001, the Compact’s energy efficiency programs have won numerous national and state awards.  Currently, the region’s consumers will save more than $495 million over the lifetime of installed measures and improvements.
