In the fall of 2005, all 21 towns serviced by Cape Light Compact met a challenge set by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) to sign 3% of its electric rate-payers up for Cape Light Compact green – the program to support the development of clean energy sources.
As a result of this challenge, all 21 towns were awarded a small educational PV array for a town-owned school building. 20 of the systems are operational. West Tisbury’s was on the old library, so the system was removed when the new library was built.
Today, 5 of these systems (Bourne, Falmouth, Harwich, Sandwich, and Truro) are connected to an educational monitoring system that can be accessed in the respective Towns below.
