Community-Based Offering

Cape Light Compact’s Community-Based Offering supports year-round residents of Oak Bluffs and Tisbury, living in single-family homes or 1-4 unit buildings, in accessing home energy efficiency upgrades and decarbonization opportunities through the combination of turnkey services and enhanced incentives.

How Does it Work?

Standard Offer

All residents of Oak Bluffs and Tisbury are eligible for:

• 100% off all recommended weatherization measures identified during a Home Energy Assessment.
• Turnkey delivery of weatherization work. We handle contractor coordination and project management for you!

Enhanced Incentives for Moderate-Income Residents

If your gross annual household income is between 61-80% of the State or Area Median Income, you may also qualify for turnkey services and up to 100% cost coverage for:

• Remediation of pre-weatherization barriers
• Remediation of electrification barriers
• Whole-home heat pump installation

Please see the income eligibility chart to find out if you initially qualify for these enhanced benefits. To access this offer, you will need to verify your income with the Cape Light Compact by clicking the “verify your income” button at the bottom of this page.

To access 100% cost coverage on program incentives for pre-weatherization barrier mitigation, pre-electrification barrier mitigation, and whole-home heat pump installations, you must work with our turnkey lead vendor that will manage your project from start to finish. If you prefer to work with your own qualified Mass SAVE Contractor, you are still eligible to receive the standard moderate-income whole-home rebate of $16k and access to the Mass Save Heat Loan for 0% financing on certain program measures.
