About the Business
The Hyannis Youth & Community Center, located on Bassett Lane, offers numerous activities for the local community. The facility boasts two ice rinks, a gymnasium, meeting space, café, computer lab and much more. The facility is owned and operated by the Town of Barnstable and offers a plethora of sports programs and events to the region.
Project Highlights
In 2019, Cape Light Compact (the Compact) partnered with the Hyannis Youth and Community Center to upgrade the lighting in the ice rinks. The Compact’s vendor, RISE Engineering, oversaw the project which resulted in 1,046 lights being replaced with high efficiency LED bulbs and fixtures. The lights will not only provide the facility with energy savings for years to come but also provide better lighting for athletes and spectators alike. These upgrades build upon energy efficient upgrades made previously at the facility including vending miser upgrades in 2018.
