About the Business

Falmouth Academy is an independent, college-preparatory day school serving approximately 215 girls and boys in grades 7 through 12 located on Highfield Drive in Falmouth, MA. Since 1977, the academy has been educating students from communities across Cape Cod and the Islands, the South Coast and Southeastern Massachusetts, and from overseas as well.

Project Highlights

The Academy was looking to add efficient HVAC equipment to help their classrooms stay comfortable for teachers and students alike. Cape Light Compact’s lead vendor RISE Engineering worked with the Academy to assess what type of system would best suit this scenario. RISE designed and installed 14 high efficiency unit ventilators with variable speed fans in the classrooms. They also added high efficiency cooling and dual enthalpy controls to five classrooms. Lastly, they added demand control ventilation to all classrooms. These upgrades will help keep the classrooms comfortable while also reducing energy expenses for the Academy.
