Mass Save HEAT Loan
Unlock Comfort and Savings in Your Home with a 0% Interest Mass Save Heat Loan
You may be eligible for a zero-percent interest loan for energy-efficient home improvements through the Mass Save® HEAT Loan Program. The loans are available up to $25,000 with terms of up to 7 years, depending on the applicant’s income. To apply for the loan, the customer must own a 1 to 4-family residence and obtain a Home Energy Assessment through Cape Light Compact.
Eligible Upgrades Covered by the HEAT Loan
The following are the HEAT Loan Eligible Measures available for funding through our approved HEAT Loan Lenders.
- Heat Pumps – Customers financing these systems must have the installation completed by a Heat Pump Installer Network Contractor.
- Heat Pump Water Heaters
- Replacement Windows
- Residential Batteries
- Insulation, including removing barriers to installation, such as knob and tube wiring, vermiculite, mold remediation, structural repairs and combustion safety
Heat Loan Process
- Schedule a Home Energy Assessment online or by calling 1-800-797-6699.
- Receive a Heat Loan Intake Form from Your Energy Specialist at your Home Energy Assessment.
- Apply for a HEAT Loan via the ClearResult Portal.
- “Receive back a Heat Loan Authorization Form for an approved amount to be financed.
- Take the HEAT Loan Authorization Form to Participating Lending Institution to apply for a loan.
- Receive a Loan Agreement and two-party check made out to the contractor and homeowner. Proceed with work and pay the contractor.
- Upon completion of work, notify ClearResult to schedule a verification inspection.
