CAPE<\/strong> LIGHT<\/strong> COMPACT ANNOUNCES NEW ELECTRICITY RATES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cape Light Compact and its electricity supplier, ConEdison Solutions<\/em>, are pleased to announce reduced fourth quarter 2009 basic electricity rates for Cape Cod and Martha\u2019s Vineyard customers.\u00a0 The new lower rates will be in effect from the October 2009 to January 2010 meter read dates and will automatically adjust for current Cape Light Compact customers.<\/p>\n

LONG TERM RATE<\/span><\/p>\n

A new fixed long-term electricity price of 9.890 cents<\/strong> per kWh is available to Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard residential and<\/strong> small commercial customers<\/span> who wish to lock in their electricity price over a longer period of time.\u00a0 The new rate will go into effect on the next meter read date after a customer signs up and is guaranteed through the July 2011<\/strong> meter read date.\u00a0 ConEdison Solutions <\/em>reserves the right to withdraw or modify this offer at any time.<\/p>\n

The next price adjustment for Cape Light Compact\u2019s six-month basic rate for residential, small commercial, large commercial and Cape Light Compact GreenSM<\/sup> service will be announced in January 2010.\u00a0 Based on current market conditions (as of September 2009), we expect our basic electricity prices to be 10% to 20%\u00a0below 2009 levels for residential and small commercial customers.<\/p>\n

CAPE<\/strong> LIGHT<\/strong> COMPACT FILES REPORT ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY ACTIVITIES FOR 2008<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cape Light Compact filed its annual report on energy efficiency activities for the calendar year 2008 with the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources and the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities today.<\/p>\n
