{"id":4546,"date":"2015-06-15T14:08:26","date_gmt":"2015-06-15T18:08:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.capelightcompact.org\/press-release\/july-16th-event-to-discuss-regional-energy-efficiency-plans\/"},"modified":"2015-06-15T14:08:26","modified_gmt":"2015-06-15T18:08:26","slug":"july-16th-event-to-discuss-regional-energy-efficiency-plans","status":"publish","type":"press-release","link":"https:\/\/www.capelightcompact.org\/es\/press-release\/july-16th-event-to-discuss-regional-energy-efficiency-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"July 16th Event to Discuss Regional Energy Efficiency Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Looking for Ways to Reduce Your Energy Bill?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Join Us to Discuss Regional Energy Efficiency Funds and Plans<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">at the July 16<sup>th<\/sup> Upper Cape <em>Save Energy\/Save Money<\/em> Meeting<\/p>\n<p>Barnstable, MA \u2013 The Cape Light Compact is inviting town energy committees and interested citizens from the Upper Cape to participate in a conversation about future energy efficiency plans and funds to be available for consumers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What:<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>Upper Cape Save Money \/ Save Energy Meeting<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>When: <\/strong>Thursday, July 16, 2015, 7 pm<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where: <\/strong>Mashpee Public Library, 64 Steeple Street, Mashpee, MA 02649<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who: <\/strong>The program is open to any interested citizen<\/p>\n<p>Light refreshments will be served.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2014, 176 businesses and 4,701 households in Bourne, Falmouth, Mashpee and Sandwich took advantage of the Compact&#8217;s Energy Efficiency programs.\u00a0 Many more could benefit from the free energy assessments, rebates and incentives that are available, as well as new programs now under consideration.<\/p>\n<p>The Compact is preparing a three-year plan to guide its 2016-2018 energy efficiency programs. \u00a0The three-year plan could expand into a number of new opportunities.\u00a0 The Compact is seeking input on the program concepts to ensure that they meet the needs of all local consumers.\u00a0 The meeting will also provide some information about new options and rebates for heating and cooling developed by the Compact in collaboration with Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources and others. \u00a0The heating and cooling alternatives are available to all Cape customers. These options, which include some renewables, can provide households and businesses with opportunities for substantial savings.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2001, the Compact&#8217;s energy efficiency programs have won numerous national and state awards.\u00a0 Currently, the region\u2019s consumers will save more than $495 million over the lifetime of installed measures and improvements.<sub>\u00a0\u00a0<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT CAPE LIGHT COMPACT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cape Light Compact is an award-winning energy services organization operated by the 21 towns and two counties on Cape Cod and Martha&#8217;s Vineyard.
