{"id":12349,"date":"2015-09-14T13:50:21","date_gmt":"2015-09-14T17:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.capelightcompact.org\/october-1st-event-to-discuss-regional-energy-efficiency-plans-2\/"},"modified":"2015-09-14T13:50:21","modified_gmt":"2015-09-14T17:50:21","slug":"october-1st-event-to-discuss-regional-energy-efficiency-plans-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.capelightcompact.org\/es\/october-1st-event-to-discuss-regional-energy-efficiency-plans-2\/","title":{"rendered":"October 1st Event to Discuss Regional Energy Efficiency Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Looking for Ways to Reduce Your Energy Bill?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">October 1<sup>st<\/sup> Forum to Preview<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Regional Energy Efficiency Funds and Plans<\/p>\n<p>Barnstable, MA \u2013 The Cape Light Compact is inviting Martha\u2019s Vineyard energy committees and interested citizens to participate in a conversation about future energy efficiency plans and funds to be available for consumers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What:<\/strong> <em>Martha\u2019s Vineyard Save Money \/ Save Energy Meeting<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>When: <\/strong>Thursday, October 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2015, 5:30 pm<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where: <\/strong>Martha\u2019s Vineyard Commission, The Stone Building, 33 New York Avenue, Oak Bluffs<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who: <\/strong>The program is open to any interested citizen<\/p>\n<p>Light refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n<p>The Compact is preparing a three-year plan to guide its 2016-2018 energy efficiency programs. \u00a0The three-year plan could expand into a number of new savings opportunities. This forum will be an opportunity for you to learn about ways you could start saving energy and money.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2014, 91 businesses and 936 households on Martha\u2019s Vineyard took advantage of the Compact&#8217;s Energy Efficiency programs. The lifetime energy savings from installed measures, more than 4 million kWh, is enough to power 55 homes. Many more could benefit from the free energy assessments, rebates and incentives that are available, as well as new programs now under consideration.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2001, the Compact&#8217;s energy efficiency programs have won numerous national and state awards. Currently installed measures and improvements will save the region\u2019s consumers an estimated $495 million over their effective lives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABOUT CAPE LIGHT COMPACT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cape Light Compact is an award-winning energy services organization operated by the 21 towns and two counties on Cape Cod and Martha&#8217;s Vineyard.
