Many of the recommended improvements may be offered at no-cost, and there may be generous incentives available for other recommended measures. Properties heated by electricity, propane, oil, or natural gas are all eligible for participation in the program.

Municipal - Existing Town or County Properties

BuildingUnique through the Cape Light Compact, for Municipal customers (defined as the towns within Barnstable and Dukes Counties as well as the Counties themselves), we offer enhanced incentives to increase the implementation of all cost-effective energy efficiency measures. These incentives include up to 100% of the incremental cost of upgrades for cost-effective replacement of failed or new equipment and up to 100% of the total cost for cost-effective replacement of working equipment. This applies to all non-natural gas measures that are recommended and/or validated by one of our contracted vendors.

There is a cap per project, and if that is triggered, the Cape Light Compact Governing Board will vote on whether to proceed with those projects.

If your town, department, or county needs services, please contact Margaret Song at 508-375-6843 or email msong@capelightcompact.org.
