Our program includes solar power from rooftops across Cape Cod, small hydro from across New England, and biomass from a closed landfill in Chicopee, MA. Over time, it is the Compact’s intention to incorporate wind from land-based projects in Massachusetts, particularly those in Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard towns. A choice that benefits you and your community...When you pay a premium for Cape Light Compact GreenSM, 100% of the premium you pay, is deductible from your federal income taxes, if you itemize. The premium is the difference between the price of the Cape Light Compact GreenSM 100% (or Cape Light Compact GreenSM 50%) and the price for Cape Light Compact basic energy service.
