VALUABLE COOL SMART REBATES AVAILABLE

Barnstable, MA – Residential electric customers looking to install new central air-conditioning or a heat pump this year have a great dollar-saving opportunity.

The Cape Light Compact is offering a rebate of up to $500 for installation of an ENERGY STAR® qualified central air conditioning system. In addition to the rebate, annual energy savings can range up to $150 if the current system is more than 12 years old.  

The Compact is also offering a rebate of up to $500 for installation of a new energy efficient Air Source Heat Pump. Energy savings from a new heat pump can range up to $400 for annual heating and cooling costs.    

The first step in the process is contacting your heating and cooling contractor. A separate $150 rebate is available for using a Quality Installation Verification trained contractor. A list of Cape-based contractors with Quality Installation Verification training can be found at www.MassSave.com.
