Thanks for your interest in the Cape Light Compact's high efficiency central air conditioner rebates.

The Cape Light Compact received approval for its 2009 budget on May 29, 2009. We were able to launch by June 11, 2009 to the contractors listed below (who have the forms to date).

The rebate will need to be filled out by both the customer and the contractor and is available for the following equipment:

Central AC/Heat Pump and Ductless Mini-Splits with TXV and EXV installed for the following efficiency levels:

SEER = Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio; EER = Energy Efficiency Ratio; HSPF = Heating Seasonal Performance Factor; TXV = Thermostatic Expansion Valve; EXV = Electronic Expansion Valve;

AHRI SEER and EER Rating of outdoor condenser and indoor coil working together

Rounding up on SEER/EER ratings is not acceptable.

Qualifications and Steps to Get the Rebate

(1) You will need to go through a contractor as a residential customer. If you do not see your chosen contractor below, please have that company call Margaret Song at 508-375-6843 to get added to the list below of companies that have forms.

(2) We always encourage you to do your best to get multiple quotes and research the installers. The Cape Light Compact does not endorse any particular manufacturer, product, system design, or technology, but we do want you to save energy and money with a high efficiency cooling system.

(3) The Cape Light Compact requests pre-approval if you need to install 3 or more qualified systems for each electric account.

(4) Once you choose an installer, please ask them for an itemized invoice that includes equipment type, make, model, name of purchaser, installation date and location, total cost and date of purchase. You should also review all of the terms and conditions on the form from your contractor.

(5) Send the original applications to the address on the form.
